Majestic Gen unveils new leadership team for next growth phase

KUALA LUMPUR: Majestic Gen Sdn Bhd has appointed Wong Yik Fong as chief executive officer (CEO) effective July 1, as part of a leadership restructuring aimed at supporting the property developer’s next phase of growth and expansion.

The company also said that Datuk Hoo Kim See will assume the role of chairman and director, while Ta Wee Dher has been appointed as group managing director.

In a statement, Majestic Gen said the new leadership structure is intended to strengthen governance, succession planning and operational execution as it expands its development portfolio across residential, commercial, industrial and integrated projects.

Hoo will focus on board-level oversight, corporate governance and long-term strategy, while Ta will lead business growth initiatives, including land acquisitions, development planning, strategic partnerships and project pipeline expansion.

Wong will oversee the group’s daily operations, including project delivery, sales performance, stakeholder management and organisational development.

The company said Wong brings more than two decades of experience in civil engineering, project management and township development. He previously served as chief operating officer at Trinity Group and held senior positions at Gamuda Land, where he was involved in major township developments, including Gamuda Gardens and Gamuda Cove.

Wong said his priority will be to strengthen operational execution, improve project delivery and align teams to support the group’s growth plans.

Since the company’s rebranding in February 2024, it has expanded its market presence and development pipeline, launching six projects with a combined gross development value (GDV) of RM3.05 billion by end-2025.

This year it targets to launch four projects worth RM370.5 million.

Majestic Gen said it will continue focusing on landbank expansion, new business ventures and enhancing project delivery as it seeks to strengthen its position in Malaysia’s property development sector.

On the company’s next growth phase, Ta said the company will focus on expanding its landbank, pursuing strategic opportunities and strengthening its project pipeline while maintaining a disciplined approach to growth.
